Cornas. Terrasses du Serre 2003 Red Wine Tasting Notes:
An explosively rich blockbuster with an inky/purple color as well as a glorious perfume of burning embers, blackberry liqueur, cassis, minerals, and white flowers, this 2003 Cornas saturates the palate with glycerin, extract, and massive layers of fruit as well as body. There is not a hard edge to be found, although I am sure there is considerable tannin in this amazing effort. From a producer of whom I have no previous knowledge, this is unquestionably one of the appellation.
