Wine Tasting Notes:
This intense full-bodied white wine from the Loire valley in France smells of straw, pear and citrus. I was quite surprised with the complexity of this Pouilly Fume. It started out with flavors of pear, grapefruit, grass and a fantastic hint of mineral . The mineral note is a result of the limestone found in soil that is common to the Loire valley. The wine ended with tons of lemon zest and a very crisp finish that lingered.
