Mas Oller is a Boutique, 12 hectare winery nestled away in the historic D.O of Emporda: a wonderful, amphitheatre-like wine region overlooking the Mediterranean sea, located in the north-eastern part of Catalonia, just to the south of the Pyrenees.
Owner, Carlos Esteva is well known in Spain for his pioneering wine-making (he introduced Merlot in Spain during the seventies and his Gran Caus Tinto 1984 made using Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc aged in French Oak barrels was a completely new concept in Spain)
Assisting Carlos is wine-maker Anna Baques who was awarded "Most promising Young Wine-Maker" by the Catalan Wine Makers Association in 2008. Anna previously worked for the famous Can Rafols dels Caus

Made with Picapoll & Malvasia. A terrific, complex white with subtle aromatics (peach, grapefruit, jasmine). Medium-bodied & softly textured. Luscious flavours of apricot, pineapple & grapefruit unfurl from a solid, mineral core.
The finish is pleasantly dry whist you are left with lingering, pure, tropical note for a good few seconds.

6 bottles of 2008 Mas Oller 'Pur'
Made with Garnacha, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. A brilliant purple colour. Complex aromas of cassis, cherry, smoke & some herbaceous-ness. A full-bodied Mediterranean flavour with a bold, alluring concentration of juicy blackberry, raspberry & cassis fruit. Punchy tannins & spicy textured, there is a long, juicy finish & just a hint of ‘balsamic’ bite. (Rated 92/100 Penin Guide) 14.5% abv
