Mont Olivet own 25 hectares (2h for white wine) of Chateauneuf du Pape. To the North they have parcels in Le Pied de Baud. In the Eastern sector in lieu-dit Monalivet they own Grenache vines that are over 80-year-old from where the backbone of La Cuvée du Papet is made.These fields of 9 hectares have given name to the domain.To the South they have parcels in Les Gallimardes.
The top cuvée La Cuvée du Papet (red) was originally made from more than 90% Grenache, more recently 20% Syrah/ Mourvedre is now used in the blend.
The normal red Chateauneuf du Pape is made from 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah and Mourvedre, Cinsault and other allowed varieties. The wine is aged for 18 months at first in tanks and then in foudres.
