We stock a short but special range of Ports, including the whole range from the suberb Heridias. You probably will never have heard that name before, their tiny amounts of produce means you will only see them on ours and a couple of other shelfs in this country.– here’s what World famous Wine Advocate, Robert Parker says about their Port’s when scoring the Ruby 92/100 points
One of the finest ruby ports I have ever tasted, this opaque ruby/purple-colored effort displays notes of creosote, blackberries, coffee, grilled meats, and oodles of fruit. Dense, supple-textured, and voluminous in the mouth, without being heavy, it is a stunning offering that is in complete contrast with the industrial ruby ports produced by the big port houses. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
This producer was a real discovery for me, especially their 10 and 20 year old tawny ports.
We prop up the list with some iconic Ports from Niepoort, Versuvio and Churchill Grahams.
