Wine Advocate #197, Nov 2011, Antonio Galloni, 93, Drink: 2012 - 2021. Vilmart’s 2006 Brut Premier Cru Cuvee Rubis is a big wine that shows the personality of the vintage in its rich, boisterous personality. This is an especially exuberant version of the Cuvee Rubis, but all of the elements are in perfect harmony. Layers of expressive fruit caress the palate through to the finish. The 2006 can be enjoyed on its own, although it seems much better suited to pairing with food. I loved it. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021.
