In 2005, AoC Vinsobres was created to lift above Cotes du Rhone Villages status
A red-only appellation; 50% Grenache is nessesary in all wines with at least 25% Syrah and/or Mourvedre and 25% of the remaining red grape varieties are allowed in the blend.
Over 90 producers make wine here including top Chateauneuf du Pape Estate; Chateau de Beaucastel and rising Rhone star: Constant-Duquesnoy.
